Hey IoTeX Community!
Welcome to IoTeX's new and revamped monthly newsletter. You’ll find that it is filled with our latest announcements, educational content, helpful hints and tips, upcoming events, and everything you need to know about the ever-growing IoTeX ecosystem. We want this newsletter to be valuable for you so, please share your feedback and suggestions to help us improve.
In April 2018, IoTeX launched our very first code release. Last month, we celebrated our 3-year anniversary in style with a special livestream AMA with 10+ members of the IoTeX core team! We can't believe it’s been 3 years of growing IoTeX and our team here at IoTeX has never been more committed to our original mission to make the Internet of Trusted Things a reality. None of this would be possible if it weren't for our amazing community of users, partners, and enterprises. We want to thank you all!
With that being said, April was the biggest month yet for IoTeX. We had numerous announcements including Travala & Polygon partnerships, new versions of ioTube & Burn-Drop tokenomics, and of course the official launch of Mainnet v1.2, the most advanced version of the IoTeX blockchain yet!
Mainnet v1.2 is the next major upgrade of the IoTeX blockchain that makes Ethereum tools like MetaMask, Remix, Truffle, and more compatible with IoTeX, making it even easier to port over Dapps, tokens, and services from Ethereum to IoTeX. Mainnet v1.2 also brings powerful performance/security enhancements as well as node/database upgrades for an even better developer experience.
IoTeX is proud to contribute to Veracruz, a privacy-preserving compute project of the Confidential Computing Consortium (CCC).
With 3,000+ devices on IoTeX, Burn-Drop v2 tokenomics is officially live. We started off with $100,000 of @mimoprotocol LP tokens for eligible stakers.
It’s official, our new ioTube v4 is now live at tube.iotex.io for two-way token swaps between Ethereum - IoTeX - Binance Smart Chain.
Travala.com, the world’s leading cryptocurrency-friendly online travel agency, and IoTeX announced a strategic partnership to integrate IoTeX’s IOTX token on the travel website’s platform.
IoTeX & Polygon (previously Matic) are excited to announce a new partnership to explore the design space of IoT-based digital assets and Layer 2 scalability.
Dr. Xinxin Fan, head of cryptography at IoTeX, a company working to secure the Internet of Things (IoT), has been appointed Vice-Chair of the Standard for the Framework of Blockchain Use in Internet of Things.
IoTeX's project uses "verifiable GPS data to mint NFTs that prove you were at a certain place at a certain time," said Larry Pang.
